When each Player, Coach, Official and Cub member agrees to be part of the Iggies community, you agree to abide by our code of conduct. The information below is important to us.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Old Ignatians’ Netball Club is a social club, with a proud and successful tradition. We foster a competitive and enjoyable environment through training, games, and numerous club events throughout the year. We welcome players of different abilities and strive to encourage a positive atmosphere where every individual can enjoy developing their netball skills.

General Club Expectations:
- Always be respectful of your coaches, team mates and other club members and officials.
- Promote and represent the Club’s official sponsors at all times
- Positively participate in club events and fundraising activities. Be prepared to volunteer your time occasionally to contribute towards the success of our club.

Game and Training Expectations:
- Play by the rules and understand the spirit of the game
- Never argue with an official. If player safety is being compromised, approach your captain. Your captain will then discuss the issue with your coach and determine if it necessary to take any further action
- Never verbally abuse officials, sledge other players, deliberately distract or provoke opponents as either a player or spectator
- Cooperate with your coach and team-mates. Listen to your coaches/managers instructions try to implement into your game play
- Inform your coach or player manager SMS or phone call if you are unable to attend training with as much notice as possible (preferably at least 24 hours). You must receive confirmation that your coach has received your message.
- Inform your coach or team manager *in person or with a phone call* 24 hours prior or more to a game if you are unable to attend play.
- Be prepared to organise a scorer or a timer as part of your duty to your team on a rotational basis. If you cannot provide one for the week(s) you are allocated it is your responsibility to organize a swap with another player who can.
- If you are selected for one of our top teams, reasonable attendance at training is expected (approx. 80% or more).
